LEGaTO research raises interest at FPL 2018 Conference

From 27 to 31 August 2018, LEGaTO participated at the 2018 International Conference on Field Programmable Logic and Applications (FPL 2018), which took place in Dublin, Ireland.

FPL 2018 is a leading forum for exhibiting the latest in reconfigurable computing. The program reflects a diversity of applications in the area and the proceedings of the FPL conference range from reconfigurable system architectures and applications to embedded processors, design automation methods and tools.

Alberto González Trejo, LEGaTO researcher, attended the conference to present the paper “Fault Characterization Through FPGA Undervolting” and to perform a demonstration “A Demo of FPGA Aggressive Voltage Downscaling: Power and Reliability Tradeoffs”. During both activities, many people showed interest in the work and the LEGaTO project. Also industry representatives were interested in the research and asked questions regarding the potential applications in Cryptocurrency mining, among other applications.
