First LEGaTO booth at Teratec Forum

On 19 and 20 June, LEGaTO representatives attended Teratec Forum with a booth located in the Café Européen de la Recherche area.

Taking place every year in France, the TERATEC Forum is a major event that brings together the best international experts in HPC, simulation and big data. Each year there is an area showcasing European projects at the exhibition named Café Européen de la Recherche. LEGaTO shared the space with other projects such as MontBlanc, INTERTWine and M2DC, among others.

“The hardware, as well as the software of the LEGaTO project, are highly relevant for Teratec. Energy-efficient heterogeneous computing, the principal focus of LEGaTO, is very important for cloud computing as well as HPC. During the presentation, we focused mainly on the modular, scalable microserver hardware used in LEGaTO, combining CPU, GPU, and FPGA microservers,” says Jens Hagemeyer, researcher of the LEGaTO project at Bielefeld University.

The project’s booth attracted many visitors during the two days, making the event a successful opportunity for LEGaTO to disseminate the project.

If you didn’t have the opportunity to visit LEGaTO at Teratec, you have another chance next week at ISC 2018. LEGaTO will be the whole conference at D-1151 and Monday 25 June afternoon at A-1411.
