LEGaTO is presented at Embedded World 2020

LEGaTO partners from University of Bielefeld and Christmann informationstechnik + medien had a booth at Embedded World 2020, which was held in Nuremberg (Germany) on 25-27 February 2020.

The booth attracted over 110 professionals and many companies, mainly distributors and technology providers, including embedded solution providers.

LEGaTO representatives Jens Hagemeyer (Bielefeld) and Micha vor dem Berge (Christman), presented the LEGaTO project and its outcomes to several researchers interested in heterogeneous computing and software support.

The LEGaTO SmartMirror, which was displayed at the exhibition, sparked particular interest. These devices act as a central control interface in the context of smart homes. They recognize facial biometrics and customize their functionalities based on who is in front of the mirror. The LEGaTO project has developed a modular, energy-optimized, heterogeneous processing platform that results in an energy-efficient use of the complex and compute-heavy algorithms of smart mirrors.
