LEGaTO researchers go online!
As any other public activity, this year’s scientific conferences have had to be postponed or converted into virtual conferences due to the coronavirus outbreak. Consequently, LEGaTO researchers have adapted to the new format and recently presented their work in online events.
LEGaTO was introduced at the DATE 2020 Conference by Valerio Schiavoni (University of Neuchâtel) in a session about EU/ESA projects on Heterogeneous Computing. In addition to the recording, slides and conference proceedings are available online.
LEGaTO also participated at the 50th IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks (DSN 2020), which took place between 29 June and 2 July 2020. Behzad Salami (Barcelona Supercomputing Center) and Wojciech Ozga (TU Dresden) presented their work on FPGAs and trust management, respectively:
- "An Experimental Study of Reduced-Voltage Operation in Modern FPGAsfor Neural Network Acceleration", by Behzad Salami, featured in the Machine Learning Resilience session, chaired by Atul Prakash (University of Michigan).
- "Trust Management as a Service: Enabling Trusted Execution in the Face of Byzantine Stakeholders", by Wojciech Ozga, was included in the Trusted Cloud Computing session, chaired by Zhongshu Gu (IBM Research).
Furthermore, our project will participate in three telematic events in the near future, DEBS 2020, FPL 2020 and AI4EU WebCafé, and is organising its final workshop, which will be held virtually on 4 September 2020.
